Questions people ask
Are there real TARA past papers?
No. UAT-UK has not released any real TARA paper. It publishes a specimen and a practice test for each module on Pearson, and links old TSA and BMAT Section 1 papers as practice.
Are TSA papers still useful for TARA?
Yes. UAT-UK says TARA's Critical Thinking and Problem Solving share a common history with TSA and BMAT Section 1. Each TSA paper mixes both, 25 questions of each.
Do the papers have answers?
Every TSA and BMAT paper has an official answer key, and TSA 2020 also has explained answers. The Pearson specimen tests explain each answer.
How long should each question take?
TARA gives 22 questions in 40 minutes per module, about 109 seconds each.

What it does
Every official TARA practice test, and the TSA and BMAT papers UAT-UK links for TARA, sorted by module, each linked to UAT-UK's own file.
Official TARA material only: UAT-UK's specimen and practice tests on Pearson, the TARA Question Guide and specification, and the TSA (2008 to 2023) and BMAT (2003 to 2023) Section 1 papers UAT-UK links for TARA.
Method
- We read UAT-UK's TARA preparation page and Pearson's UAT-UK page on 4 October 2026 and opened every file link.
- Every TSA Section 1 question is classed as Critical Thinking or Problem Solving from its task (the same split as our free TSA sets): each paper has 25 of each.
- BMAT Section 1 papers mix more question types, so they are listed but not counted.
