UAT-UK publishes two older archives on its TARA preparation page, because TARA’s Critical Thinking and Problem Solving modules share a history with them. Every paper and answer key it lists is below.

Sit the two current-format tests first

UAT-UK puts two practice tests on the Pearson VUE landing page that “mirror the exact format and software used for our live tests”, alongside the specification and the TARA question guide. Sit those first. The papers below are a different exam on paper, offered as extra volume.

What an hour of each one feels like

Questions, time allowed and minutes per question for a TARA module and for the most recent Section 1 paper in each archive.

Counts and timings read off the front page of each 2023 paper, so they describe that paper and not the whole archive. Older BMAT papers packed more into the same hour: 35 questions in 2019 and 2010, 40 in 2003. A TSA question runs closest to a TARA one: 1.80 minutes against 1.82. Neither archive contains anything like TARA’s 750-word writing task.

Questions about TARA papers

Are there official TARA past papers?

No. TARA is first sat on 12–16 October 2026, so no TARA paper from an earlier sitting exists. UAT-UK publishes BMAT Section 1 and TSA past papers, and says candidates wanting more preparation material may find the BMAT papers useful.

Which archive should I use?

UAT-UK names the BMAT papers. On pacing the TSA is closer: 1.8 minutes a question against a TARA module's 1.82. Neither archive contains a writing task like TARA's.
