16 courses require the TARA.
10 at Oxford, 6 at UCL. Every one of them takes all three modules. First sitting booking closes 28 September 2026 at 6pm BST.
UAT-UK gives you two practice tests in the live test format, a specification and a question guide. No official TARA past paper exists. Use UAT-UK’s current-format practice tests first, then TARA Prep’s original timed mocks for extra timed work.

Which sitting you take
Oxford applicants sit 12–16 October 2026. UAT-UK opens 4–8 January 2027 to an Oxford Foundation Year programme with a January admissions deadline, and L0VF is the only Foundation Year course on this list. Booking for that second sitting closes 21 December 2026 at 6pm GMT. UAT-UK publishes no sitting restriction for UCL, so check the deadlines before you book either one.

Which universities use the TARA?
UAT-UK's course list carries TARA rows for two institutions: the University of Oxford and UCL.
Does PPE at Oxford require the TARA?
Yes. Philosophy, Politics and Economics (L0V0) is on UAT-UK's course list, and all three TARA modules are compulsory.
