Can you resit TARA in January?

No. UAT-UK lets you sit TARA once per admissions cycle, so January is a second date to choose from, not a second attempt.

If you have not sat TARA this cycle, January is open for UCL's six TARA courses and Oxford PPE with Foundation Year. Standard Oxford courses need October. See who can sit in January.

What to do with October scores you are unhappy with

1. Your scores

See what your two scores mean

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving are reported separately. See what each score says and where it sits among this year's candidates.

2. Your course

See where you stand for your course

No university publishes TARA scores against offers. The free tool places your weaker module among all 2026-entry candidates for the course you choose. Your score is one part of your application.

3. The next cycle

Applying again next year?

TARA Pro runs to 31 January 2028, so one payment of £199 covers next October's sitting too.

Score 7.0 or your money back. Before TARA, finish the course (100% course work, 70% right on your latest 100 marked answers and 10 of the 13 timed mocks, with every wrong answer corrected); if either official scored module is below 7.0, send your official result within 30 days of its release and we refund the price you paid.
